Renewed Resolutions

You may have had the best intentions when you made your New Year's resolutions. But, if you're like most Americans, they're already a dim memory. Avoid these mistakes in re-setting your goals:

Too much. You can't expect to change every unhealthy habit overnight. Choose one thing and commit to making a change. Then move on to another goal.
Too vague. If you swear every January 1st that you'll exercise more and eat better, you're setting yourself up for failure. Get specific. Set a goal to walk three times a week for 45 minutes or to eat three servings of vegetables a day.
Too hard on yourself. If you miss a workout, sneak a cigarette or splurge on dessert, don't throw in the towel. Just start over tomorrow.
